David Braziel — poet, spoken-word
performer, and digital artist.
Blending text, voice, image, and code to try to express the things that are too big for words.
This is not a poem.
It doesn’t try to be heard,
it is carefully made, not polite.
It may arrive as a wave,
a vision, a silence, a redaction,
a broken code.
It is anything.
This is not a poem.
It will not conform,
will not be absorbed.
It is made of fragments,
spoken, seen, lost, heard
and reassembled.
It is what survives.
This is not a poem.
It is meant to provoke,
is built to carry weight.
It does nothing, changes
everything, makes us feel
that something must happen.
It is intentional.
This is not a poem.
It is a voice.
